Here we go again....
Its not what you think. I'm not pregnant. Its just me, attempting to keep up with this "blog" thing that I've said over and over again that I'm going to keep up with. In all honesty, time just slips away. I've been at this thing for 4 years, and I'm averaging about a post a year. But, life happens. From taking care of 4 kiddos to making sure the bills are paid, I'm all over the place. I often get compliments and comments about how I have it all together...guess what? I don't. You, my friends, social medial, you don't see ALL of the REAL me. So, here goes. Here's a shot of "Real".
-I have an alarm set on my phone to remind me to feed my kids. It's true. I stay busy from the time I wake until I go to bed, and there have been a couple times that my kids have had to remind me that they needed to eat. Its embarrassing, but its real life.
-I have a constant pile (mountain) of clean laundry in my hallway. I stay on top of washing/drying, but folding is ugh. When I look at my list of "to-dos", making sure everyone has clean clothes is the priority. If they get folded- great, but most times they don't.
-I also have a "sock basket" full of socks that haven't been matched. "Mom, can you help me find a pair of socks" is a comment I hear on the daily, and a child with mis-matched socks is a regular.
-I yell A LOT. with 6 people in the house, I never feel like I'm heard unless my head is spinning and I have a demonic tone. I'm terrified my kids are going to grow up and say something like "The only thing I remember about my childhood is that my mom yelled".
-My husband doesn't get the best of me. He gets what's left over. He comes home each day to the disheveled, sometimes un showered, crazy, yelling, burnt out, crazy, trying to get dinner on the table during "witching hour" wife. I hate it, and maybe one day I won't be that way.
- "Who peed and didn't flush?", "Why is the floor wet?", "Who left the fridge open?", "Did you brush your teeth- you better tell me the truth" and "Did you poop?" are all said (some time multiple times) on the daily.
- I have anxiety like you wouldn't believe, and I never sleep more than 4-5 hours a night. My mind runs all the time. I lay down and night and crash instantly, and am usually back up by 2-4 am-depending on what time I go to bed. Kids, School, Work, Soccer, Bills, my mind is always running.
What "Truths" do you have that you don't share on social media?
